ECHL Kelly Cup Playoff Preview - 5/13/26

We’re well into the Division championships in each of the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoff series, the competition is starting to heat up. All 4 series have played at least 2 games, and in the North Division – the future home of the IRONHAWKS – the competition is tight! Let’s get caught up on where we stand!

Western Conference

Mountain Division:

Kansas City Mavericks (1) vs Allen Americans (2)

The Mavericks have taken advantage of their home ice advantage, jumping out to a 2-0 series lead vs Allen. The Americans host the next 3 games of the series where they’ll try to climb back in against the best team in the league this year in Kansas City. 

Game 1 – Allen 1 at KANSAS CITY 2
Game 2 – Allen 0 at KANSAS CITY 1
Game 3 – Wednesday, May 13 at 7:10 p.m. CT at Allen
Game 4 – Saturday, May 16 at 7:10 p.m. CT at Allen
Game 5 – Sunday, May 17 at 2:10 p.m. CT at Allen (If Necessary) 
Game 6 – Tuesday, May 19 at 7:10 p.m. CT at Kansas City (If Necessary)
Game 7 – Wednesday, May 20 at 7:10 p.m. CT at Kansas City (If Necessary)

 

Central Division:

Fort Wayne Komets (1) vs Toledo Walleye (2)

The series between the Komets and Walleye is a bit non-traditional, the series starting in FW for game 1, then shifting to Toledo for game 2. Fort Wayne won both of the first 2 games – Toledo will try to even things up in games 3 and 4, again alternating between the 2 teams’ arena’s.

Game 3 – Thursday, May 14 at 7:35 p.m. ET at Fort Wayne
Game 4 – Friday, May 15 at 7:15 p.m. ET at Toledo

Game 6 – Tuesday, May 19 at 7:35 p.m. ET at Fort Wayne (If Necessary)

South Division:

Florida Everblades (1) vs South Carolina Stingrays (2)

The Everblades continue their dominance in the South Division, taking games 1 and 2 at home against South Carolina. The Stingrays look to capitalize on their home ice advantage – the next 3 games to be played in Charleston.  

Game 1 – South Carolina 0 at FLORIDA 3
Game 2 – South Carolina 2 at FLORIDA 6
Game 3 – Wednesday, May 13 at 7:05 p.m. ET at South Carolina
Game 4 – Friday, May 15 at 7:05 p.m. ET at South Carolina

North Division

Wheeling Nailers (1) vs Maine Mariners (2)

After a convincing season and winning the North division, Wheeling has met strong competition in the Maine Mariners! 2 of the first 4 games have gone to overtime, and while the Nailers took the first 2 games on their home ice, Maine has worked their way back in the series back at home. It’s now a best of 3 series to settle the North Division!

Game 3 – Wheeling 3 at MAINE 6
Game 4 – Wheeling 1 at MAINE 2 (2 OT)
