Chuck Weber

Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations

Chuck Weber serves as the first Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Trenton Ironhawks, bringing more than two decades of coaching experience and a proven track record of success at every level of hockey. A two-time Kelly Cup champion with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Weber was named the ECHL’s John Brophy Coach of the Year in 2008. He is also a championship-winning coach in the IHL and EIHL and has helped develop players and teams on the international stage.

 

In six seasons as an ECHL head coach, Weber has compiled a 233-167-51 record, leading his teams to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in five seasons and capturing the championship twice. Most recently, as an assistant coach, he helped Great Britain win gold at the 2024 and 2026 IIHF Division I Group A World Championships. His experience developing young talent and helping players advance through the professional ranks will be a key part of building the Ironhawks into a successful organization.

 

Weber’s return to Trenton brings his career full circle after serving as an assistant coach with the Trenton Titans during the 2001-02 season. Excited to return to a community that holds special memories for him and his family, Weber is committed to building a competitive team on the ice while making a strong impact throughout Trenton, Mercer County and the surrounding region.

Brett Boeing

Assistant Coach

A passionate hockey coach and former professional player, Brett Boeing joins the Ironhawks with experience developing talent and contributing to winning cultures at every level of the game. He most recently served as Assistant Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, where he worked closely with player development, personnel decisions and day-to-day hockey operations.

 

Brett began his hockey career at Shattuck-St. Mary’s before continuing with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He went on to play professionally in the ECHL and Europe for four seasons before transitioning into coaching. His coaching experience includes serving as a volunteer assistant with Dubuque and as an assistant coach with the Tahoe Knight Monsters before joining Iowa in 2025.

 

With firsthand experience as both a player and coach, Brett brings a strong understanding of player development, leadership and what it takes to succeed in competitive environments. He is excited to bring that experience to Trenton and help develop the next generation of players while contributing to the Ironhawks’ success both on and off the ice.

Matt Conti

Equipment Manager

Matt Conti joins the Ironhawks after years of experience as Head Equipment Manager with the Jacksonville Icemen. Prior to Jacksonville, Conti worked 23 years for Princeton University’s Athletic Department, including seven years as equipment manager for the Princeton men’s hockey program. The Mercerville, New Jersey, resident also managed facility operations at Ice Land Skating Center in Hamilton, New Jersey.

 

On the ice, Conti served as an emergency backup goaltender for the Trenton Titans and Trenton Devils for parts of nine seasons, appearing in two ECHL games in 2006 and 2007. He posted a 3.00 goals-against average in 60 minutes of action. Conti brings extensive experience both on and off the ice and is excited to return to Trenton as part of the Ironhawks’ inaugural season.
