Chuck Weber serves as the first Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Trenton Ironhawks, bringing more than two decades of coaching experience and a proven track record of success at every level of hockey. A two-time Kelly Cup champion with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Weber was named the ECHL’s John Brophy Coach of the Year in 2008. He is also a championship-winning coach in the IHL and EIHL and has helped develop players and teams on the international stage.

In six seasons as an ECHL head coach, Weber has compiled a 233-167-51 record, leading his teams to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in five seasons and capturing the championship twice. Most recently, as an assistant coach, he helped Great Britain win gold at the 2024 and 2026 IIHF Division I Group A World Championships. His experience developing young talent and helping players advance through the professional ranks will be a key part of building the Ironhawks into a successful organization.

Weber’s return to Trenton brings his career full circle after serving as an assistant coach with the Trenton Titans during the 2001-02 season. Excited to return to a community that holds special memories for him and his family, Weber is committed to building a competitive team on the ice while making a strong impact throughout Trenton, Mercer County and the surrounding region.

A passionate hockey coach and former professional player, Brett Boeing joins the Ironhawks with experience developing talent and contributing to winning cultures at every level of the game. He most recently served as Assistant Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, where he worked closely with player development, personnel decisions and day-to-day hockey operations.

Brett began his hockey career at Shattuck-St. Mary’s before continuing with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He went on to play professionally in the ECHL and Europe for four seasons before transitioning into coaching. His coaching experience includes serving as a volunteer assistant with Dubuque and as an assistant coach with the Tahoe Knight Monsters before joining Iowa in 2025.

With firsthand experience as both a player and coach, Brett brings a strong understanding of player development, leadership and what it takes to succeed in competitive environments. He is excited to bring that experience to Trenton and help develop the next generation of players while contributing to the Ironhawks’ success both on and off the ice.

A lifelong Trenton-area resident, Matt Conti brings extensive hockey experience to the Ironhawks after a career spanning youth, collegiate, international and professional hockey. Most recently, he served as Head Equipment Manager for the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL for four seasons. Prior to Jacksonville, Matt spent 23 years with Princeton University’s athletic department, including roles as men’s hockey equipment manager, arena staff member and grounds crew.

Throughout his career, Matt has been involved with USA Hockey, serving as equipment manager for the USA Hockey Select 17 Camp and twice with the U.S. Paralympic Team. He has also remained deeply connected to the Trenton hockey community, serving as an emergency backup goaltender for the Trenton Titans, Trenton Devils and numerous visiting teams.

A true hockey lifer, Matt is excited to return to the Trenton area and be part of the Ironhawks’ inaugural season. Outside of hockey, he enjoys cooking, hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Blue.
