Celebrate the Titans Night
Friday will be a special night in Trenton as the Ironhawks celebrate the history of professional hockey in the city with Celebrate the Titans Night.
The evening will feature a banner-raising ceremony honoring the Trenton Titans, while the Kelly Cup will also be in the building. Fans will have the opportunity to take photos with the championship trophy throughout the night.
It will be a chance to celebrate the city’s hockey history while continuing to build the future of professional hockey in Trenton. Get your tickets here.
A Historic First
Friday’s matchup with Wheeling will mark the first time in team history the Ironhawks face an opponent from outside the North Division and outside the Eastern Conference.
Trenton enters the matchup at 2-2-2, while Wheeling comes in at 1-2-1-1. The Nailers are also coming off a highly successful 2025-26 season, finishing first in the North Division with a 46-20-3-3 record.
Wheeling enters this season with a new NHL affiliation after previously being affiliated with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Nailers are now partnered with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Four-Game Point Streak
The Ironhawks have picked up points in four consecutive games entering the weekend.
Trenton earned wins over Adirondack and Reading before falling to both teams in overtime. The stretch has given the Ironhawks six of a possible eight points and provided valuable experience in several tightly contested games.
The next step is turning those close games into wins.
Perfect on the Penalty Kill
The penalty kill continues to be one of Trenton’s biggest strengths.
The Ironhawks have successfully killed all 15 opposing power plays to start the season, going a perfect 15-for-15. The unit has also come through in several high-pressure situations, helping keep Trenton in close games.
Maintaining that success will be critical during another three-game week.
Fanti Becoming a Fan Favorite
Ryan Fanti has quickly become one of the early fan favorites in Trenton.
Fanti has stopped 94 of the 99 shots he has faced this season, carrying a .949 save percentage into the weekend. His strong play has consistently given the Ironhawks an opportunity to win, including throughout the team’s current point streak.
First Trip to Norfolk
The Ironhawks will make their first-ever trip to Norfolk this weekend for a pair of games against the Admirals.
Norfolk enters the week at 3-5-1 through nine games and has allowed 33 goals, an average of 3.67 goals per game. The Admirals remain the only ECHL unaffiliated with an NHL or AHL club.
The two-game set will provide another first for the Ironhawks and a test of the team’s ability to handle the travel and demands of consecutive road games.
