About the Team

The Trenton Ironhawks are members of the ECHL, North America’s Premier AA Hockey League, beginning play in the 2026-27 season at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. As the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Hamilton Hammers, the Ironhawks provide a direct pathway for developing professional hockey players, coaches and staff while bringing high-level hockey to the region.

The inaugural season marks the return of professional hockey to Trenton after nearly 12 years, with the Ironhawks committed to building a first-class, family-friendly experience both on and off the ice. With 36 regular-season home games at CURE Insurance Arena, the Ironhawks are creating a new tradition of professional hockey in Trenton and building an organization that fans, families and the entire community can call their own.
