ECHL Kelly Cup Playoff Update – Wednesday 6/17/26

The chase for the Kelly Cup has officially ended, and after 6 games, the Florida Everblades came from 2-0 down in the series to win the next 4 games – 3 in Florida – including the clinching game in Kansas City. 3 of those 4 games went to overtime, with the Everblades capturing the Cup in 2OT on Monday night. Cam Johnson was awarded the June M. Kelly Playoffs Most Valuable Player Award, after going 16-3 in the post season, with 1.93 GAA and .921 save percentage. This is the 4th Kelly Cup for the Everblades in the last 5 seasons.
Kansas City finishes their year after winning the Brabham Cup as the league’s best finishing team in season, and had an equally impressive march to the finals, sweeping the first 2 rounds and finishing with a 12-4 record. The Mavericks have lost to the Everblades in their last 2 appearances.
