Matt Conti Joins Ironhawks As Equipment Manager

TRENTON, N.J. — The Trenton Ironhawks announced Matt Conti as the organization’s equipment manager ahead of the team’s inaugural ECHL season.

A lifelong Trenton-area resident, Conti returns home with extensive experience spanning, collegiate, international, and professional hockey. He most recently served as head equipment manager for the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL for four seasons after spending 23 years with Princeton University’s athletic department. During his time at Princeton, Conti held a variety of roles, including men’s hockey equipment manager, arena staff member, and grounds crew.

Throughout his career, Conti has remained active with USA Hockey, serving as equipment manager for the USA Hockey Select 17 Camp and twice with the U.S. Paralympic Team. He has also maintained strong ties to the Trenton hockey community, serving as an emergency backup goaltender for the Trenton Titans, Trenton Devils, and numerous visiting teams.

A true hockey lifer, Conti brings decades of experience and a passion for the game to the Ironhawks. His background at every level of hockey, combined with his deep roots in the Trenton area, will play an important role as the organization prepares for its inaugural season and beyond.

The Trenton Ironhawks are proud members of the ECHL and are preparing for their inaugural season, beginning this October. The Ironhawks serve as the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Hamilton Hammers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
