Trenton Ironhawks Announce Brett Boeing as Assistant Coach

TRENTON, N.J. — The Trenton Ironhawks announced Brett Boeing as an assistant coach ahead of the organization’s inaugural ECHL season. A passionate hockey coach and former professional player, Boeing joins the Ironhawks with experience in player development and leadership.

Boeing most recently served as Assistant Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, where he supported the team’s day-to-day hockey operations and player development.

 

Boeing joined Iowa after serving as an assistant coach with the Tahoe Knight Monsters, helping the team reach the second round of the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs. He played four professional seasons, including time with the Toledo Walleye, Reading Royals and Wichita Thunder of the ECHL.

 

Boeing played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League (USHL) from 2013-16 before returning to the organization as a volunteer assistant coach in 2023-24. He is a University of Massachusetts alum.
