TRENTON, N.J. — The Trenton Ironhawks announced today that the team has signed Canadian forward Max Patterson. 

Patterson, 26, enters his second full professional season after recording 22 points on 10 goals and 12 assists in 59 games with the Iowa Heartlanders during the 2025-26 season. The forward also appeared in six games with the Fort Wayne Komets during the 2024-25 season.

Prior to turning pro, Patterson spent five seasons at the University of Calgary, where he recorded 71 points on 27 goals and 44 assists in 89 games. He enjoyed his most productive collegiate season in 2022-23, posting 29 points on 13 goals and 16 assists in 28 games while adding eight points in six playoff contests.

Patterson began his junior career in the Western Hockey League, appearing in games with the Kootenay Ice, Swift Current Broncos, Everett Silvertips and Seattle Thunderbirds. He totaled 116 points on 46 goals and 70 assists during his WHL career and added 15 points in 36 career playoff games.

The forward will compete for a spot on the Ironhawks’ inaugural roster as the team prepares for its first season in the ECHL.
