Trenton Ironhawks Sign Identical Twins Noah and Dylan Massie

TRENTON, N.J. - The Trenton Ironhawks, proud affiliate of the New York Islanders (NHL) and Hamilton Hammers (AHL), have signed identical twins Dylan Massie and Noah Massie ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026-27 season.

The Saint-Lazare, Quebec, natives, both 27, have spent their hockey careers alongside one another, playing together at Lakehead University and with the Quad City Storm in the SPHL before reaching the ECHL. 

Dylan, a forward, enters the Ironhawks organization after making his ECHL debut with the Iowa Heartlanders last season, recording three goals and three assists in 19 games.

Before making the jump to the ECHL, Dylan spent parts of two seasons with Quad City, recording 21 points in 45 regular-season games. He previously played five seasons at Lakehead University, totaling 33 points in 71 regular-season games. Dylan recorded a collegiate career-high 14 points during the 2024-25 season, finishing with four goals and 10 assists in 26 games before joining the Storm.

Noah, a defenseman, also made his ECHL debut during the 2025-26 season, appearing in 23 games between the Trois-Rivières Lions and Iowa Heartlanders. Noah recorded two assists in 20 games with Iowa after beginning the season with Trois-Rivières, where he appeared in three games and recorded one assist.

Like his brother, Noah spent time with Quad City in the SPHL, recording nine points in 18 games during the 2025-26 season after posting five points in eight games the previous year. During his collegiate career at Lakehead, the defenseman recorded 16 points in 76 regular-season games. 

The Massies have now reached the next stage of their hockey careers together, joining the Ironhawks as the organization prepares to take the ice for the first time in franchise history. The identical twins will compete for spots on the Ironhawks’ inaugural roster.
